Travel around the world with Nutnut – Part 3

Viaja alrededor del mundo con Nutnut – Parte 3

Today we're sharing some super-easy summer recipes that only require a blender. These recipes can be prepared in just a few minutes. These sauces are ideal for summer parties when you don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. They also make a great midday snack.

The first recipe is savory and inspired by/from Russia. The second is sweet and inspired by/from the United States. They are completely different in taste and texture, but both are very interesting to try.

Beetroot sauce with prunes, walnuts and mint

Ingredients

  • 2 cooked beets
  • 2 pitted dried plums
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 4-5 mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh cream
  • 40 g of lightly crushed walnuts

Preparation

Blend the beets, prunes, garlic, mint leaves, and lemon juice in a blender until smooth. Add the crème fraîche and lightly crushed walnuts. Finally, season with salt and pepper and blend again.

Serve with vegetables or bread. All vegetables on the plate are suggestions only; feel free to add whatever you like. Enjoy!

Peanut butter sauce with cinnamon

Ingredients

100 ml of peanut butter

2-3 tablespoons of water

1.5 teaspoons of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of honey

Preparation

Mix the peanut butter, water, cinnamon, and honey well. Place it in the center of the plate. Then arrange all the nuts around the sauce. It's ready!

All the fruits on the plate are just suggestions; you can add whatever you like. If you don't like peanut butter, you can make the same sauce with almond butter.
